Why would I want to know my omega levels?

Omega-3 Fatty Acids, also known as DHA and EPA, play important roles in our bodies, especially in our heart, brain, eyes, and joints. It is estimated that 70% of Americans are deficient in these essential fatty acids because of our diet that tends to be lacking in the most common sources of Omega-3’s: fresh fatty fish. Omega-3 fatty acids are called “essential” because our bodies cannot make them, we can only get them through our diet.
