What happens if there is a very abnormal value?

Some markers on Everlywell tests have predetermined "critical values." The physician network maintains a list of these values and triages all out-of-range results. If your result falls into a critical range, the physician network’s customer service team will contact you by phone.

For STD testing, positive results are handled with extra care. Everlywell will hold your results and not release them until the physician network has contacted you directly (or after three unsuccessful attempts to reach you). If you receive a positive STD test result, you may also be offered a free STD consultation with a physician and, where appropriate, a prescription for treatment.
