Benefits

Strengthens bones, teeth, and muscles*

Vitamin D3 helps fortify bones and teeth from the inside out by optimizing the power of calcium in our bodies. This essential vitamin also plays a key role in muscle growth and recovery.

Supports healthy immune function*

Vitamin D3 plays an important role in immunity, regulating immune responses and signaling to the immune system as it defends the body. Low levels of vitamin D have been associated with increased levels of infection and autoimmune response.

Reduces inflammation*

Vitamin D3 mediates inflammatory responses by aiding regulatory T cells that inhibit inflammatory cytokines, which are small proteins important in cell signaling.

Provides important nutrients during pregnancy*

Vitamin D3 supplements may be an important part of a prenatal wellness regimen, as vitamin D deficiencies may be linked to fetal bone health and development concerns. Vitamin D3 gummies can help pregnant people reach the levels recommended by physicians.

Supports fertility*

Supplementing vitamin D3 may benefit fertility for men and women alike. Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to reduced fertility, while optimal nutrient levels may support positive IVF outcomes.

What is vitamin D?

Known as the “sunshine vitamin,” vitamin D is an organic, fat-soluble nutrient naturally produced in the body. Although it’s possible to obtain vitamin D from sun exposure and food sources, for certain people, particularly for those who are at risk, it may be difficult to maintain adequate vitamin D levels without supplementation.

What does vitamin D do?

Vitamin D plays a role in multiple aspects of our wellness, including bone metabolism, muscle function regulation, and immune system modulation.

How much vitamin D do I need?

For healthy adults between the ages of 14 and 70, the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for Vitamin D is 600 international units (IU). While this average daily intake may sufficiently meet the nutrient requirements of healthy individuals in this age group, those with vitamin D deficiencies, roughly 41% of US adults, or those at risk of developing deficiencies may benefit from increased daily intake. The Endocrine Society considers the upper limit of 2,000 IU to be generally safe and unlikely to cause adverse effects.

How much vitamin D should I take daily?

The amount of vitamin D you should take each day depends on your current Vitamin D levels, your health status, and your age. We’ve formulated our once-daily gummy to help you reach your recommended daily vitamin D3 intake. However, if you have any concerns about supplementation or when you should take Vitamin D, you should always check with your healthcare provider.

What is the difference between vitamin D2 and vitamin D3?

There are two forms of vitamin D in the body: vitamin D2 and vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is considered the 'active' form of vitamin D. Vitamin D3 comes from animal sources, whereas vitamin D2 is mainly found in plant-based foods. Both forms have been shown to improve vitamin D levels, but vitamin D3 tends to be absorbed more effectively by humans. If you’re choosing between supplements, ask your healthcare provider which form of vitamin D is best for you.

What are the potential side effects of vitamin D3 supplements?

Excessive intake of Vitamin D may result in an excess of calcium levels in the blood, which carries symptoms including pain, nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, fatigue, and confusion.
