What are the infection rates of the most common STDs?

In 2024, the CDC’s provisional STI Surveillance report found that 2,249,636 cases of syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia were reported in the United States. 

The total rate of reported syphilis (all stages, including congenital syphilis) was 55.9 per 100,000 population (calculated to be ~190,000 cases total). The total rate of reported gonorrhea was 159.8 per 100,000 population (calculated to be ~543,000 cases total). The total rate of reported chlamydia was 445.7 per 100,000 population (calculated to be ~1.52 million cases total).
