What does an “Atypical Signal Detected” result mean?

Your Caris Detect test identified atypical molecular patterns in your blood that warrant follow-up. While the test detected changes that differ from what is typically observed, they do not fall into the range associated with a positive “cancer signal detected” result. Repeat testing in three or more months may help determine if the atypical molecular patterns persist and/or justify additional clinical evaluation. This result is not a diagnosis of cancer. It means that additional information is needed to better understand the finding over time. To gather that additional information, Caris will provide complimentary repeat testing approximately three months after your initial result. A member of the Caris Clinical Care Team will contact you to arrange delivery of a new test kit and help coordinate your repeat blood draw.
