Who gets colorectal cancer?

Anyone can get colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the risk of CRC drastically increases as you get older, with 90% of cases occurring in people who are 50 years or older. It is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in the US of men and women combined.
